Context

The project required a focused, high-impact concept trailer to clarify Renee’s journey and secure commissioning support. Early cuts contained strong material but lacked narrative momentum and clear transformation.

My Role

I refined the structure to centre the story around independence and reinvention, removing extraneous detail to sharpen the emotional arc. I built escalation through pacing and music selection, introducing a heightened, empowering tone that amplified the stakes and forward momentum.

Outcome

The finished sizzle exceeded the director’s expectations and was used in the commissioning process, contributing to the documentary being funded and produced by Stan.
